Product Description

Tissue-like quantitative reference standard used as a biological calibrator to determine the expression level of ER in tissue specimens. Comprising of four formalin fixed, paraffin embedded, high density cell line cores with a quantitative range of ER expression.

Four formalin fixed paraffin embedded cell lines with a quantitative range of expression for Estrogen Receptor (ER).

  • Cell line A: Osteosarcoma (negative)
  • Cell line B: Urothelial carcinoma (low)
  • Cell line C: Non-small cell lung carcinoma (medium)
  • Cell line D: Breast adenocarcinoma (high)

Cells are fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin and paraffin wax embedded.

Sections are cut at 4μm, mounted on positively charged slides and baked overnight at 37°C. Cell microarrays (CMA) contain cores that are 1.5-2mm in diameter and 3-3.5mm in length. It is possible to obtain up to 400 sections depending on thickness and batch cutting.
