Product Description

Tissue-like quantitative reference standard used as a biological calibrator to determine the expression level of HER2 in tissue specimens. Comprising of four formalin fixed, paraffin embedded, high density cell line cores with a quantitative range of HER2 expression (at 0, 1+,  & 3+) for Human Epidermal growth factor Receptor 2 (HER2).

  • Cell line A: Breast adenocarcinoma (0)
  • Cell line B: Breast adenocarcinoma (1+)
  • Cell line C: Breast adenocarcinoma  (3+)

Cells are fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin and paraffin wax embedded. Sections are cut at 4μm, mounted on positively charged slides and baked overnight at 37°C. Cell microarrays (CMA) contain cores that are 1.5-2mm in diameter and 3-3.5mm in length. It is possible to obtain up to 400 sections depending on thickness and batch cutting.
