Consistent TMA Block Yield
You can expect tissue blocks to be at least 1.5mm thick, with an average thickness of 2.2mm. For Tissue Microarray (TMA) blocks, each array can vary in core diameter (typically 1-2mm) and number. Request normal or tumor tissue arrays customized specifically to meet your needs and experience greater consistency.
Ethically Sourced Tissue
All tissue specimens are obtained following rigorous ethical guidelines. These specimens are Institutional Review Board (IRB) waived and/or patient consented. Our partners have access to longitudinal study materials, including both tissue and biofluid specimens. All work is conducted in a CLIA-certified laboratory.
Stringent Quality Control
All tissue is quality controlled and assessed by board certified pathologists to ensure high quality. Key structures assessed include:
DNA extraction and analysis of control genes are also performed to assess tissue quality for use with RNA and DNA ISH assays:
Certified by Pathologists
All donor tissue blocks undergo quality control by board-certified pathologists. Additionally, the donor tissues are rigorously checked for nucleic acid integrity. All TMA blocks once constructed are assessed by H&E, digitally scanned and given a final review by our pathology team.
